THE DESIGN CONCEPT FOR THIS FIVE BUILDING
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN DENVER’S LOHI
NEIGHBORHOOD WAS COMPLETED IN 2008. THE
SITE INCLUDES 28 RESIDENTIAL UNITS – BOTH
TOWNHOME AND CONDOMINIUM TYPES OF UNITS.
THE FIRST COMPLETED BUILDING WAS AWARDED
THE DENVER MAYOR’S AWARD FOR DESIGN IN

CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION- 2012-1015
THE DESIGN RESPONDS TO TWO DIFFERENT
TYPES OF STREET FRONTAGES – TWO ROWHOUSE
BUILDINGS CREATE AN URBAN STREETFRONT
FACING THE NEIGHBORHOOD ARTERIAL STREET –
TEJON STREET. THE OTHER THREE BUILDINGS
CREATE A COURTYARD HOUSING COMPLEX
FACING THE LOCAL “SIDE” STREET – 34 TH AVENUE.
THE COURTYARD OPENS ON TO 34 TH AVENUE TO
CONNECT WITH THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE UNIQUE
FORM OF EACH BUILDING IS BASED ON THE
ADJACENT DIAGRAMS FOR LANDMARK ELEMENTS.
THE LOCATION AND SCALE OF THE LANDMARK
ELEMENTS SETS UP VISUAL FOCAL POINTS THAT
WILL BE VIEWED BY NEIGHBORS AND VISITORS TO
THE SITE.
