THIS RENOVATION PROJECT IN A MIXED
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT NEAR CENTRAL DENVER IS
A CONVERSION OF AN EXISTING APARTMENT
BUILDING INTO CONDOMINIUMS. CONSTRUCTION
WAS COMPLETED IN 2006.
THE LOS ANGELES BASED DEVELOPER
REQUESTED A CONTEMPORARY DESIGN CONCEPT
TO CHANGE THE CHARACTER OF THE ORIGINAL
BUILDING INTO A MORE DISTINCTIVE PROPERTY.
THE DESIGN APPROACH WAS DEVELOPED TO

EXISTING OPENINGS REMAINED AS IS. THE
EXISTING BRICK BUILDING SKIN ALSO REMAINED IN
PLACE. NEW METAL ELEMENTS WERE ADDED TO
FRAME THE BUILDING ENTRANCE AND CREATE
NEW BALCONIES
